CLASS 101 "Discovering God's Family" for visitors and regular attendees...All about Friendship Church...If you're interested in membership this seminar is a must...Next 101 is March 19 & 26.

CLASS 201 "Discovering Spiritual Maturity" explores 5 healthy spiritual habits to cultivate throughout your life...Next 201 is April 2&9, 23&30.

CLASS 301 "Discovering My Ministry" explores how God has uniquely designed you for service in His Kingdom...Next 301 is May 7-28.

This ministry is held October 2016 thru March 2017; 3rd Saturday each month.  Plan to sign up to go to the shelter with a group (20 folk limit), or donate baked goodies, or help prepare a hot lunch for up to 200 homeless men, women, and children.  Questions?  Speak with Pastor John. Next Oasis Visits: January 21; February 18; March 18 is final visit.  Meet at church 9:30am. Back by 3:30pm.

AWANA CLUBS 6:45-8:00pm

Another fun-filled, spiritual adventure each Wed. during the school yearfor PK 3-5 (Cubbies); 2nd Grade (Sparks); 3rd & 4th Grades (Ultimate Adventure); and, 5th Grade Ultimate Challenge.  Pickup a brochure at the Welcome Desk.  NEW this year...ON-LINE REGISTRATION is available!  You're already on the web page so click the "Event Registration" tab and proceed to register each child.  Commander Tracy Kent is returning to lead the Clubs.

The Prayer Ministry invites the fellowship and community to join them for intercessory prayer.  Meet at church each Friday afternoon, 12:00 - 1:00.  Pray for our nation, communities, churches, family & friends; wherever God leads you.  Questions? Contact Prayer Ministry Leader, Connie Blair, or the church office.

MONTHLY PRAYER WALKING:  Meeting the 1st Saturday each month April - September.  Questions? Call the church office.  Coordinator: Carol Reed.

  • February 5, 2017, 6:30 p.m. – Youth Superbowl Party at Pastor Neville’s home – 1004 S. Warfield Dr, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Parents need to take youth directly to the party and pick them up at the same location afterwards. Youth need to sign up with Pastor Neville and turn in their completed permission slip. If your youth has already filled one out, no need to complete another one.
  • “Souperbowl of Caring.” – We are volunteering with our School Partnership program in helping to collect food items for needy students in local schools. Collection continues this through Sunday, February 5, Superbowl Sunday. Please bring items on Sunday or Wednesday and place them in the container in the foyer. At a later date, the items will be packaged by our youth and sent to local schools. Many children in area schools are showing up at school on Monday mornings, having not eaten all weekend. This is an opportunity for us to share Christ’s love with our community.The list of items is posted on the foyer bulletin board.
  • June 19 – 24, 2017 – XFuge-Mission at Eastern University, Philadelphia, PA. This is a great way for youth to be on mission in a camp-like atmosphere. Cost is $404. A $50 deposit is due by January 25, 2017. Scholarships are available for families sending multiple students or for families experiencing financial challenges. For those with questions, please let me know.
  • July 27 – August 6 – Jamaica Mission Trip. We will work with the Northeastern Missionary Conference(NEMCO) Camps in a week-long residential  summer Bible camp. We will serve alongside a Jamaican team as camp counsellors, workshop leaders, and recreation leaders. Our volunteers will have the opportunity to serve in the Junior camp, ages 6 – 14, or the Senior camp, 15 and over. Cost: $1,200, $900 for Friendship family participants. If interested, please speak with Pastor Neville.

Learning is for everyone!  Every 13-weeks, new adult topical studies are introduced, affording people the opportunity to meet new people and explore a topic of interest.  Studies are designed so you can join the group at any time during the semester.  Donations are requested, but not required, to help offset work book costs.  A detailed brochure is available at the Welcome Desk, or by calling the church office.  Here are the WINTER topics:
